We will offer special topics workshops on a regular basis to
provide information about how to use yoga and meditation
techniques to cultivate your skills and learn how to practice
for therapeutic relief.
If you are interested in a particular workshop, we request that
you reserve your space in the class by emailing the NGY Director
at
newgardenyoga@yahoo.com
no later than 8:00 am on the morning of each workshop. Drop-ins
are possible if space is still available after all the reserved
students have arrived.
Plan to arrive
20 minutes early so you can check-in, pay for the workshop, and
settle into the studio before your class begins.

‘Handstands’ (Adho
Mukha Vrksasana) are either exhilarating or slightly terrifying,
depending on how much you trust your own arms to support you.
There are methodical steps towards cultivating this exhilarating
yoga posture. For instance, how you position your arms while
doing standing postures matters to your general arm and shoulder
girdle strength. Another important factor is your abdominal
strength – do you have enough of it to control the movements of
your spine? Focusing on these two areas of the body can
eventually lead to more control when you turn up-side-down. Join
us in the quest for Adho Mukha Vrksasana. Level 1 – 3. Please do
not attend if you have a wrist, arm, or shoulder injury.
